Flowering Flourishes Technique Club

Good afternoon! Another late post but we were off at 8.30 this morning to go and do our dancing exams!!! They all went really well. My Evan danced beautifully, he is really growing up and he did an exam in the next level up! I had 6 dances to dance for my exams and then 6 to dance with my partner Paul for his! Had a slight hitch though whilst dancing Paul's Foxtrot! My heel got caught in a nick in the floor and my shoe flew off! I ended up dancing half the routine in just one shoe!!!!

Yesterday I held my monthly Technique Club and we used the Flowering Flourishes stamp set. This is a gorgeous stamp set and it is exactly as the name of it suggests, Flowering Flourishes!!!!

This was our first card - the "warm up" card. We used a colour combination of Elegant Eggplant, Crumb Cake, Perfect Plum and Baked Brown Sugar for the afternoons projects.

I showed the ladies how to colour the stamps with the marker pens, there was a lot of huffing (on the stamp after we had coloured it!). We stamped some butterflies and then used an aquabrush to take some of the ink from the edges to colour them in! The sentiment is from Label Love - 3 weeks of owning this stamp and punch and I think I have Label Love!!!!

I have one tired little boy on the sofa now under his duvet! I think I may go and join him! See you tomorrow!

Stamp a Stacker!

Good Afternoon! I am late posting today as Evan and I had a dance lesson at 8.30 this morning!! Had to be up and off in our dancing gear for 8am, which was quite a task!

Last night I held a lovely Stamp a Stack event and we made cards using all new things and colours from the new catalogue - it's out on Tuesday!!

So here is the first one to share with you. I think this was the hardest card of the evening!.

I have been enjoying making cards with the Mosaic Madness set, embossing folder and punch. Love the co-ordination and also the new colours of Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay and Baked Brown Sugar that I have used on here.

The sentiment is from Delightful Dozen.

It's a busy time of year and I have LOTS of events coming up. As well as my craft retreat - www.paperhavenretreats.blogspot.co.uk

Please take a couple of minutes to have a look at my upcoming events and mail me to book your place!

The above event has been popular with 20 people already booked on. Please contact me to reserve your place.

A fab workshop!

Good morning! Well, what a miserable day (weather wise) it is here in West Yorkshire! No walking to school for us today!

Last night I demonstrated at lovely Lucy's workshop! What a superstar she is, the perfect hostess! We made a project with items from the new catalogue and I shared lots of new samples.

Here is the card that all the lovely ladies made. I have to say they all managed perfectly with the "big" background stamp Wildflower Meadow. We stamped in one of my new faves, Coastal Cabana.

This background stamp helps you create lovely cards in minutes, all I added was the sentiment from Label Love, some Organza ribbon and some Bitty Butterflies!

This was the "stepped up" version I showed the ladies. I have run the stamped piece through the Wildflower matching embossing folder (you can buy both in a bundle price to save money!). I also added some trusty rhinestones and then mounted some extra card behind the Artisan Label.

Both cards together.

A huge thank you, as ever, to the lovely Lucy and guests!! Lucy is delighted to be getting her very own Mr Big (Shot) for half price!!! Check out our wonderful hostess table in the catalogue and lets get a party booked in!

Right thats me done for today, final preps for Stamp a Stack and Technique Club to be done!

More Mosaic Madness

Hello there! I'm busy busy today. I have Lucy's workshop tonight - she has 18 ladies attending! Surprisingly I am all packed and ready to go for tonight so I am working on my projects for tomorrow nights Stamp a Stack and Saturdays Technique Club - it's all go!

Another Mosaic Madness card for you today. Again I have used some of the new In Colours for 2013-2015. The card base is Crisp Cataloupe which I have embossed with the Mosaic embossing folder. I then got very friendly with the Stamp a ma Jig and created a background pattern with the mosaic stamp. The colours used for this were Coastal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar and Strawberry Slush.

Again the sentiment is from Label Love with the matching Artisan Label punch (which I am loving!)

I layered up the punch by punching a couple more out and then added some flowers from the Itty Bitty punches.

Right thats me off for the day, have a fun day all!

Hi there folks and welcome to my blog today! I am going to be sharing new Sneak Peeks from the new catalogue now that we are less than a week away!! If you would like a copy of the catalogue for £5 which includes postage please do contact me as I have them ready to go!

One of the exciting things about the new catalogue, as well as all the new lovely punches and stamps, are the new colours that we have this time! I have fallen for them hook, line and sinker!

On this card I have used Coastal Cabana for the card blank and then Strawberry Slush and Baked Brown Sugar. The stamp sets are Mosaic Madness and Label Love.

I have embossed the white piece with the Mosaic folder and then I have stamped onto it with the aid of the Stamp a ma Jig!

The lovely new sentiment is from Label Love and is punched out with the matching Artisan Label punch! I love this new punch!

5 year Anniversary!

Morning! Life is pretty much full on at the moment! What with the new catalogue next week and also a "big" birthday for me, it's all go!!! Last week I hit my 5 year Anniversary with Stampin' Up!!!

There are not enough words for me to describe how glad I am that I joined Stampin' Up! back in June 2008! It all began at a workshop at Anna's house in March when I made my first ever Stampin Up card - and here it is!! It was with a stamp set called Simply Said.

After hosting my own successful workshop (I was a good hostess!!) I decided to join up! I recently found a copy of the first ever UK catalogue whilst sorting out my craft room. I like to keep a copy of every catalogue from over the years. Just take a look at the punch offering!! We didn't have much choice back then but we still loved it!! "We've come a long way" - as the famous Take That song says!

One of the reasons I love working for this company is they really value their demonstrators and the rewards are fantastic. I have been lucky to receive many of these certificates over the years.

I've been to places that I wouldn't have dreamed of visiting and had the opportunity to meet lots of the Stampin Up corporate team as well as sharing a holiday with my husband last year in Vienna. We had an amazing time and there was a light bulb moment for Robin when he realised just how good this company is! He never really showed much interest until the trip but it's a different story now! He wants more holidays!!!! LOL!

My team - what can I say! I have some of the funniest, loveliest, craziest team members and without them I would not be where I am today. We laugh, we cry (with laughter), we share and we love what we do! We even sometimes make lovely projects!

My loyal and lovely customers! You are the best! Supporting me at my events and taking a genuine interest in my business! I thank you all.

So thats all from me today - quite a self indulgent post but I wanted to recognise my 5th Year Anniversary!

Here's to the many many more Stampin Up years!

Busy weekend

Good morning on this fine Sunday (well it's not really that fine but it sounded good!).

On Friday evening I did a lovely workshop for my new hostess and stamping friend Denise so I thought I would share the card that her lovely ladies made. This is the card the ladies made on the night.

All of the ladies were new to Stampin Up so I used the trusty Papillon Potpourri stamp set and the matching Elegant Butterfly punch. It was very popular with the ladies and they were pleased with the card they made. Below is another card I shared with a couple of added extras to make it extra special!

And both cards together along with a stamped envelope as "no one likes a naked envelope!"

Thank you to Denise for welcoming me into your home and enjoy your freebies! I do have some dates available for in home parties, please check my Host a Party page for more details.
