I heart Stampin Up!!!!

Went to my first ever Stampin Up party last night!! Twas very fabbo!!!!

It was hosted by Anna and the demonstrator was Monica from What a fab lady, almost as mad as me!!!!!! She had some lovely products and great samples.

We made a card using the Simply Said stamp set, which I then just HAD to buy and I made an extra sneaky card at the end using Unfrogettable.

My ribbon has covered up this lovely sentiment, it says "a friend is someone who makes it easy"
Happy crafting

ATC Crazy

Well this afternoon I made my first ever ATC's!!

Its for a challenge on UK Scrappers that my friend Anna is hosting and it was to do Sugar Nellies so I thought why not. Had to do 10 of exactly the same which was a bit tedious but they are done now!!
Photos aren't the best but you get the idea, I was quite pleased with the result but think I'll stick to cards!!

What a weekend!

Well its Wednesday already and I still haven't written about the most tiring weekend ever!!!!!

I finished my show on Saturday night after 3 months of rehearsals and solid performances for a week. Of course then I had to attend the after show party, would have been rude not to!! I wasnt drinking though so at least I had no hangover to deal with!!!

I then had to be up bright and early (after getting to bed at 3.30am) for the Great Northern Papercrafts Extravaganza. We were taking Sue from Slumber Cards. It was a great day altough my feet wouldnt agree with you!!!!

Managed to not go over my budget too much, have a look at all my lovely goodies.
When we dropped Sue off she had bough myself and Natty a bag of Molten Brown goodies as thank you for the weekend. THANK YOU Sue, they are lovely and are strictly off limits in the bathroom from anyone other than me!!!!

Natty K Blog Candy

Natty is holding a fab Blog Candy challenge to make a pink card. Well when I think of pink I always think of baby pink so I thought I would go for hot pink instead.

This card was made for a buddy at work (Craftwork Cards) whose birthday it was this weekend. I was a bit cheeky and added her age to the jumper!!!!

  • Card Blank from CWC
  • Paper from CWC
  • Ruffle from CWC
  • Sentiment from CWC

Think I am just in time!!!

The Full Monty

Quite a sad time as the Full Monty is now over!!! It has been FAB and has far exceeded my expectations. Wasnt quite prepared for the reaction and appreciation the whole show would get and also that I would get as an individual performer, what a buzz!!! Its certainly back down to earth with a bump.
I have added a couple of quick piccies. I feel I need to explain that I was playing the role of a 70 year old woman (I am 34 really). The part I was playing is not in the film, it has been written in for the stage show. If I had to explain who I was like I would say Estelle, Joey Trebianni's agent in Friends!!!
Anyway this is how I normally look!!!!

And here I am as the fabulous Jeanette complete with "ageing" make up courtesy of the lovely Faye. It looks a bit weird on the normal camera but I am told under the lights it look effective!!

Will post more piccies soon!!

Friday, 1 February 2008

Hi there, sorry about the lack of blogging, just about keeping my head above water with everything thats going on in my world at the moment!
Anyway I have been tagged twice by Tara and Melanie to do the Middle Name Game. You have to describe yourself using each of the letters of your middle name, if you havent got one use your maiden name!!
My middle name is that 70's classic girls middle name LOUISE. Nearly all my class at high school had this as their middle name, so here goes!!
L - loves crafting, musicals, singing, dancing and having fun (but I guess you knew that anyway from my blog!!)
O - on a diet, have lost 16 pounds so far, another 14 to go to get to my target!!!!
U - under pressure, I have so much going on at the moment, this is how I feel!!
I - ice cream, love it and so do my boys but cannot have any at the moment!!!
S - Starring in the Full Monty the Musical in less than 3 weeks - argh!!!!
E - Evan and Ross, my 2 gorgeous boys
These are a bit boring but I found it hard having 4 vowels in my name!!!!
Right I have to tag someone else now!!! Gosh all my pals have done this I think so can I leave it there???
